Discover Georgetown, Texas

Georgetown Area Information

Just 25 minutes north of Austin, Georgetown is one of the fastest-growing communities in Central Texas. The blend of Central Texas climate, historic culture and thriving economy have earned the city countless awards and recognitions from publications like the Forbes, CNN/Money Magazine and US News & World Report.

Established in 1848, Georgetown boasts 180 homes and buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our architectural designs and standards at The Brownstone remain true to the historic character of these buildings, and we take great care to ensure our community adds to Georgetown’s unique style.

At the heart of Georgetown's Downtown Historic District is the charming Town Square. The recently restored Williamson County Courthouse stands as the centerpiece of the Square and the town, featuring a grand copper dome that can be seen from many points throughout town, including every residence at The Brownstone. The downtown area boasts a varied collection of boutiques, restaurants and antique and craft stores, while the nearby Wolf Ranch Shopping Center and Round Rock Premium Outlets offer national retail chains and specialty stores.

Brownstone residents can enjoy all of this and more with a short walk or ride along the city’s 25-mile hike & bike trail system. View Interactive Trail Map
